We all know that during this Burning Summer Temperature is at it’s peak. 😦
Exposure to direct sun rays or high temperature areas can cause mild to severe symptoms, usually in combination with dehydration which leads to failure of body’s temperature control system.
In children most common cause of Heat Stroke is, Locked in car in parking zone either by parents unattended or by accidentally while playing with car. Parents when u go shopping or hang outs, plz don’t ask ur kid to stay in car with all windows closed during summers esp.
In Adults mild symptoms from Heat Exhaustion are very common but Serious Heat Stroke occurs in adults doing exercising or physical works in hot & humid weather.
Symptoms/Signs :-
As per Medical definition – Core body temperature more than 104°F along with other signs & symptoms after exposure to High Temperature areas, is main criteria for diagnosis of heat stroke.
Heat Exhaustion :-
Before episode of heat stroke occurs body warns you by developing certain signs & symptoms varying from Mild degree to serious conditions its called Heat Exhaustion.
We all have sufffered from
Headaches
Vertigo
Uneasyness after going out in Sun.
But other than this person may suffer from
Nausea,
Vomitting,
Fainting,
Excessive sweat or in stroke No Sweating despite the heat.
High Fever in Heat Stroke.
Dizziness,
Red Hot Skin,
Rashes on Skin,
Muscle cramps,
Weakness in body,
Palpitations in heart,
Mental functions alteted,
Mood changes like anger, irritation, confusion, disorientation, staggering etc.
Sometimes Epilepsy ( Seizures ),
Loss of consiousness,
Syncope occurs.

First aid for Heat Stroke Patient:-
First help patient cool down hisbody before reaching hospital.
Call Ambulance asap or take person to nearest hospital if possible.
Meanwhile u can initiate first aid measurements.

– Help in cooling body temperature down.
Take sponge or any cotton cloth, Wet them with water(cool water if possible), and tap it on person’s skin.
– Take person below Fan or in AC room or do Fanning Manually.
– If person can drink water, have them drink cool water or cool beverages juices, limbu pani etc. But remember there shld be no alcohol or caffein in drinks.
– If u can find ice or ice packs near by u. Apply them to the patient’s armpits, groin, neck and back bcoz these areas are rich in blood vessels help temperature to cool down fast.
– If possible immerse the patient in a shower or tub of tap water.
— Only if person is young & healthy & suffered Heat Stroke during Heavy Exercises then n only you can use Ice Bath.
— Do not use Ice Bath for old age people, young children, patients with chronic illness or any who was not exercising before suffering heat stroke- Doing so can be Dangerous.

Risk Factors:-
People with sm chronic medical illness should be very careful during Sun Exposure and people on sm medications like anti- histamines, diet pills, diuretics, sedatives, tranquilizers, stimulants, anticonvulsants, High Blood pressure, Diabetes, anti depression medicines are more liable for Heat Stroke effect.
